Delivered at Your Workplace
Under AS 3745-2010, any workplace with an Emergency Control Organisation must ensure its wardens are trained at intervals not exceeding six months.
Keeping your emergency procedures and training records up to date can help support your workplace fire safety and AFSS requirements.
Microfirm Training delivers nationally recognised Fire Warden training onsite at workplaces throughout Sydney and the Sutherland Shire. We come to you, allowing your team to train in your own building using your workplace's actual equipment, evacuation routes and emergency procedures.

AS 3745-2010 Training Requirements
The Australian Standard AS 3745-2010 outlines outlines specific training requirements for the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) and the Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) to ensure effective emergency response and management.
The training should cover the following key areas:
-
Roles and Duties: Understanding the responsibilities of each member of the ECO and EPC.
-
Emergency Procedures: Familiarity with the emergency procedures and plans established for the facility.
-
Evacuation Plans: Knowledge of the evacuation plans and procedures for the facility.
-
Training Frequency: Skills training should be conducted at intervals not greater than six months, with additional training for leadership roles as needed.
-
Emergency Exercises: Participation in emergency exercises at least once every 12 months to ensure readiness and familiarity with emergency procedures. These training requirements are essential for maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all individuals in the facility during an emergency. Facilities should ensure that their training programs are compliant with AS 3745-2010 to meet the legal and safety standards set by the Australian government.
The September to December period is commonly the busiest AFSS compliance season across Sydney. Booking early helps avoid scheduling delays and ensures compliance deadlines are met.
